Our Staff

Carol Olson, Director

Mrs. Olson has over 30 years of experience in the human services field. She has an MSW degree, ACSW certification and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been with the Center since it opened in 2000.

Darlene Strother, Academic Coordinator

Mrs. Strother is a certified teacher with a BS degree in English Education and a BS in Human Services Counseling. She has over 20 years of teaching experience and is one of the founders of the Center.

Megan Steele, General Studies Instructor

Mrs. Steele holds an AAS degree in Mathematics and has been teaching at the Center since its founding.

Jerry R. Hill, General Studies Instructor

Mr. Hill is retired from the United States Office of Personnel Management. He has a BA degree in History with a minor in Political Science. He has been with the Center since 2001.

Elizabeth Kerns, General Studies Instructor

Ms. Kerns has an A.S. in Business. She has been with the Center since 2008.

Leslie Truetlein, General Studies Instructor

Ms. Truetlein is a certified teacher with a B.A. in Education. She has been with the Center since 2008.

Paula Conrow, Para-Educator

Ms. Conrow has provided tutoring services at the Center since its founding.

Deborah Fleming, Tutor

Ms. Fleming holds a B.A. degree in Comparative Literature and has been with the Center since 2004.

Tom Hicks, Tutor

Mr. Hicks holds a B.A. degree in English Literature and has been with the Center since 2008.

Robert Kurzenknabe, Peer Tutor

Mr. Kurzenknabe is a 2008 graduate of the Center.
