About Us
Blue Ridge Educational Center is organized as a 501-C(3) nonprofit organization.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a safety net of academic services to children, youth and adults in the community who might not otherwise receive an adequate education. We collaborate with the public school system and all other sectors of the community to identify and address educational needs. We develop and implement a variety of programs using multiple strategies to address these needs.
Our Vision
We strive to expand our services and increase our visibility such that we are readily available to anyone in the community who needs our services, regardless of financial circumstances. We envision ongoing partnerships with public and private schools in the community in order to offer creative solutions to the complex needs of students. In this process, we will strive to partner with other community agencies and individuals who are involved in improving the lives of at-risk youth. We will take community-driven action to improve educational outcomes for children, youth and adults.
